Jump Start the New Year with me!
My unpopular opinion: I LOVE New Year’s Resolutions! I love setting goals and I love a fresh, clean slate. And I love getting a jump start on things. As a matter of fact, this very morning, I started working on mine before the sun was even up. (Not bad for a Saturday morning, wouldn’t you say?)
What is the secret behind all this enthusiasm you ask? Well, I have recently come across some new finds to add to a couple of my tried and true staples. Together, these items I am sharing here, make me giddy and excited to shake off the funk of the past few years and dive into the future!
The Compound Effect
This book was a late night, scrolling through Instagram, find. God bless the customized searches for bringing this gem into my feed. First of all, I love me some non-fiction reads. I love learning new and better (or old, back-to-basics). Just with my journey in blogging, it has been such a learning experience in so many fundamentals that can apply to the success of anything in life. And I have come nowhere near success with it yet. So, I am excited that this book just might be the key to that. This morning I read chapter one and it was incredible!
Legend Planner Pro Weekly
This planner is one I have used for years now for my goals. I have tried so many planners and this one gets it right. What is amazing about this planner is it provides such a good foundation for your goals/projects. It provides the prompts for goal setting, breaking down the goals into quarterly, monthly, weekly, and even daily steps. There are even review pages and prompts as well as the perfect amount of blank pages for notes and brainstorming. It even comes with cute stickers to make the journey a little more cute and colorful. The planner has a yummy leathery finish and comes in a variety of colors. I am obsessed with it’s perfection!
Rustico 5 Year Journal
New to my collection is this 5 year journal. Journaling is something I always mean to do more of. The idea of reflecting and just touching bases with oneself is so important. I would find myself wanting to journal but not knowing what to write or not wanting to spend too much time doing it. So when I saw this one, I loved that each day has a question or writing prompt with just room enough for a few sentences. Then each page has room for 5 entries for the same question that you will complete again each year. You will be able to see how your answers change with the passing of time. This journal has a real leather binding so it is a little pricier but it is going to last you 5 years so it ends up being a bargain.
Very Busy Planner
I am a fan of paper planners. I have often gotten a lot of flak for it and have tried online or electronic ones and they have all let me down. My paper planners have never done me dirty. This 17-month one has been the one I have been using for a while now. It has the dated weekly and monthly pages I like without the fluff that just takes up space like address books or other pages I don’t need. This one has a fun element to it too. In addition to super cute graphics, there are weekly check-in pages and motivational quotes so you can practice a little self-care along the way, busy as you may be.
